1) Save it in your Flash Folder
Call it trains.fla
2) Make 3 layers and label them
train2 - layer3
train1 - layer2
bg -layer1 - here is where you create a scene
3) Create train1
>Insert
>New Symbol
call it train1
Press OK
Create two layers.
layer1 - train
layer2 - wheels
Now Draw your train on layer1
and the wheels on layer2
4) Create train2
>Insert
>New Symbol
call it train2
Press OK
Create two layers.
layer1 - train
layer2 - wheels
Now Draw your train on layer1
and the wheels on layer2
(Note: you could copy your train from train1 and paste it here and change
colors to make the trains look different)
5) Create a background
Click on Scene 1 to leave the library and return to the movie stage.
Select the bg (background) layer.
Draw a scene. When you are finished, lock the layer so you don't accidentally
tween on the wrong layer.

Tweening the trains
(that mean to make the train move. the directions
are explained in steps below)
A) Make sure the library window is open. If not,
> Window
>Library
B) Select the train1 Layer.Make sure you have the correct layer selected.
Lock all the other layers.
C) Drag the train1 symbol from the library window onto the center of the
stage. Use the free transform too to resize the train to fit the movie.
D) Move the symbol to the starting
position which is off the stage to the left or right of the train tracks.
E) Click on frame 50 of train1 layer.
>Insert
> Timeline
> Keyframe
F) Drag the train to the other side off the stage.
G) Click on frame 25.
>Insert
> Timeline
>Create Motion Tween
H) Test movie
>Control
>Test Movie
You will see the train sit there for a while and then move off
the stage. The background picture will disappear. Don't worry, we will
fix that later.
7) Tween train2 in a different way if you wish
A) Make sure the library window is open. If not,
> Window
>Library
B) Select the train2 Layer.
Make sure you have the correct layer selected.
Lock all the other layers.
C) Drag the train2 symbol from the library window onto the center of the
stage.
D) Move the symbol to the starting
position which is in the center of the stage on the front train tracks.
E) Click on frame 50 of train2 layer.

> Timeline
> Keyframe
F) Click on frame 100.
>Insert
> Timeline
> Keyframe
G) Drag the train off the stage.
H ) Click on any frame between 50 and 100
>Insert
>Timeline
>Create Motion Tween
I) Test movie
>Control
>Test Movie
8) Make the background stay in
the movie
1) Select frame 100 of the bg layer.
>Insert
>Timeline
> Frame
F) Test movie
>Control
>Test Movie
