You need to come to class everyday.
You need to have your earphones removed from your ears, your cellphone off and put away and not play music on the computers. Points are deducted from your class participation grade for each infraction and the loss adds up and can cause you to be unable to earn enough points for credit.

Open Flash - Color Swatch and Symbols
1) Create a color swatch
2) Draw a star as a symbol (to draw a star, select the polygon tool. In the properties window at the bottom, select Options. In the drop down menu, select the star. For settings, experiment with the settings to get what you want.)
3) Drag the star to the stage and move it.

MOTION TWEEN. Open Flash.
Open rabbit.fla from or create your own shape as assignment #5 explains.
Here is an example. Here is another example.
1) Create a simple background as desired.
2) Create a layer for the symbol.
>Insert >Layer.

3) Open the library Window
>Window >Library
.
Click on the symbol. Drag the symbol to the stage. Move the symbol to the beginning of the movement - off the stage to the right is a great starting place.
4) Click on frame 60.
5)>Insert > Keyframe
6) Move the shape to the other side of the stage - off the stage - on the other is side is a great ending place.
7) Click between the frames.
8) >Insert > Create Motion Tween.
9) >Control >Test movie.


Shape Tween.
1) Create two symbols each a different shape.
2) In scene1, drag symbol 1 onto the center of the stage.
3) Select frame 1.
4) In the properties window, click the Tween popup and then click Shape.
5) Select Frame 40.
6) Click
>Insert
>Timeline
>Blank Keyframe

7) Drag Symbol 2 from the library onto the center of the stage.
8) >Control
>Test Movie

Solar System

Find a photo of the sun in google. Drag it to your desktop.
Open Flash. Save the document as solarsystem.fla into your flash folder.
Create two layers in solar system. Call the bottom one Background and lock it.
Call the layer2 sun.
>Insert
>New Symbo

Call it sun and a select movie clip. Press OK.
Drag the google photo to the center of the crosshair in the library.Lock the layer.
Insert a new layer. Draw the sun on the new layer.
When the sun is complete, delete the layer with the picture.
Rotate the sun using
>Insert
>Timeline
>Keyframe

Use the transform tool to rotate it.
When it is rotated, click on scene1, drag the sun onto the center of the stage.

Insert Mercury into the solar system.
1) Open Safari - find a picture of Mercury. Drag it to the desktop.
2) Open solarsystem.fla
Lock the sun and background layer.
Create a new layer - call it Mercury.

Drag the photo of Mercury onto the the middle of the library so the center is on the crosshair.
Lock the layer.
Insert a new layer.
Draw Mercury on the new layer.
When Mercury is complete, delete the layer with the picture.

Goto scene 1.
Drag Mercury onto the stage.
Create a guide tween.

Insert Venus into the solar system.
1) Open Safari - find a picture of Venus. Drag it to the desktop.

Create a new layer - call it Earth.

Draw a star
Go to Scene1
Drag the star on to the stage on the background layer . Use the free transform tool to resize it. Drag several on the stage and resize them.
Draw another star.

Two Trains

1) Open Safari - find a photo of a train - drag it to the desktop.
2) Open FLASH - save document as twotrains.fla into your FLASH folder.
>Insert

Call it train
Drag the train photo to the center of the crosshair. Lock the layer.
Insert a new Layer. Draw the train.
Insert a new Layer. Draw the wheels.
After you draw the train and wheels, >Insert >Keyframe and move the wheels a little bit.
When the train is complete, click on Scene1 and draw a little scene with railroad tracks for the train.
