Drawing a car
1) Find a photo of a car. Go to google.com or any other website and find a broadside view of a car or motorcycle or vehicle that you wish to draw. Save it in your car folder. Open your car.fla project. Drag or import the photo to the FLASH stage. Size it as needed. Rename the layer image and lock the layer.

2) Set it up to draw.>Insert >Layer to create a new layer. Name the layer car. Select that layer and draw your car. You can click the eyeball from time to time to hide the image and see you your drawing is doing. Here is what your FLASH stage should look like. Pay attention to the layers.

3) Draw the car. I used the pen, pencil, and line tool.

4) Delete the photo layer. Select the image layer and select the garbage can. The layer is deleted.

5) Add the wheels to the car.
a) Open the library window.>Window >Library.
b) Select the wheel from the library window and drag in onto the stage.

c) Resize the wheel to fit the car. If you put your finger on the shift key and select a corner, the tire will keep its symmetry.
d) Copy the resized wheel and paste it. Select the wheel. >Edit >Copy. >Edit >Paste.
e) Save your work. > Control >Test Movie.

6) Turn the car into a symbol for the library. Select the entire car by clicking on the car layer. >Insert >Convert to Symbol. Call it car and select Movie Clip. Click OK. Now delete the car from the stage.
You now have an empty stage with a wheel and car and photo in the library.
