I. Create a Folder

1. Double click on the Icon with your name in order to open the folder.
2. Double click on the Documents Icon.
3. In the top bar, click on File then New Folder.
4. Name the file Mathography.

II. Setting up TextEdit to use .html files

Close the untitled document by clicking on the red button in the upper left corner of the untitled.
Next,
>File
>New

Then
>File
>Save As
find your Mathography folder

save it as yournamemathography.html

 

III. Save Work to your Mathography Folder
(for the first time)

1. In the top bar, click on File, then Save As.
2. Be sure you are in your Documents folder. If not, click on Desktop, Your Name, Documents, Mathography.
3. Name the file Mathography.
4. It is only necessary to identify the location of the file once. After than, you can just click File Save and it will automatically save to the correct location.

IV. Open Work

1. In the desktop, double click on the icon with your name.
2. Double click on the Documents folder.
3. Double click on your Mathography folder.
4. Double click on mathography.html.
